Why study DEBATE with Coach Schiltz?
I have been coaching Lincoln Douglas debate since 2017.  I found a sincere love for argumentation and debate in the form of LD, as the underlying values relate to all decisions made by people of the Christian faith, as well as those who practice other faiths, or none. Each year, as we unpack the resolution online, in club, or at camps we learn together how to approach different kinds of arguments through the lens of core values. We learn why, when thinking about various issues facing citizens of the USA and the world, the foundations and standards for protecting and preserving truth and justice affects each individual person and the decisions each one of us makes daily. These conversations are life changing and their impacts reach far beyond the competitive debate round.
